A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Gazprom’s Management Committee Chairman, and Vladimir Shamanov, Head of the Ulyanovsk Region’s Administration, was held today at Gazprom’s Headquarters.
The parties considered redemption of the Ulyanovsk Region’s debt and current payments for natural gas supplied. In particular, the parties focused on the interaction priorities between the Regional authorities and Ulyanovskregiongaz in executing control over the timely payments for natural gas consumption and gas used for heat production.
The meeting also discussed the current year’s gas deliveries and limits for Regional companies. The parties agreed to sign an agreement on the Ulyanovsk Region’s gas supply system development.

In 2003 the Ulyanovsk Region received over 2.3 bcm of gas (102.3% against the target). In 2004 2.5 bcm of gas are planned to be delivered to the Region.
For the time being, natural gas is delivered to 50% of the Ulyanovsk Region’s territories, including to 58.7% of the cities and 30.7% of rural settlements (against Russia’s average of 52.7%, 60.2% and 33.1%, respectively).
