Meeting on Yamal-Europe gas pipeline construction in Belarus held

The city of Minsk hosted a circuit meeting of Gazprom and Beltransgaz’s top executives and experts, dedicated to the construction of compressor stations along the Belarusian section of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline. The meeting was presided by Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee.

The parties addressed the implementation of a Plan for synchronized commissioning of top priority gas transmission capacities with the view of effecting deliveries by the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline until 2006.

Within the frames of the meeting, a group of Gazprom’s experts visited compressor stations under construction and emphasized a high degree of contracting parties’ readiness to complete the construction within 2005.

Reference:

The Belarusian section of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline is 575-km-long, with the pipeline transmission part and the Nesvizhskaya compressor station commissioned. To bring the gas pipeline to a roughly 33 bcm/y nominal capacity, another four compressor stations including the Krupskaya, Slonimskaya, Minskaya and Orshanskaya are planned to be brought on stream.
