Alexander Pogozhev, Severstal's Manufacturing Director, noted that in the passing month the company worked in accordance with the corrected plan for production and shipment. The plan for rolled steel in October was fulfilled to 100,8 % and totaled 732,300 tonnes.

To meet the higher output and sales targets the company implemented a number of activities. For example, the entire approach to maintenance jobs was altered. In the forth quarter they will follow he situation in the market, and seasonal decline and raise in demand. To fulfill October plan for production of pig iron, steel and rolled steel, a number of earlier planned maintenance jobs was moved from October to November and even next year, keeping in mind increased production load and equipment condition.
