Gazprom’s Headquarters has convened a meeting on gas supply to the Kaliningrad Region.

Chaired by Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee, the meeting was attended by representatives of Gazprom’s structural units.

The parties discussed a draft plan of measures aimed at boosting gas shipments to and constructing an underground gas storage facility in the Kaliningrad Region.

On October 26, 2005, Gazprom’s Board of Directors reviewed the work done to boost natural gas supply to the Kaliningrad Region in accordance with the Federal Targeted Program for the Kaliningrad Region Development up to 2010.

Gazprom’s Management Committee was entrusted with devising together with Beltransgaz and Lietuvos Dujos a plan of measures aimed at increasing gas deliveries to and constructing a UGS facility in the Kaliningrad Region.

In 2004 Gazprom supplied the Kaliningrad Region with 636 mln cu m of gas.
