During the first quarter of 2006, 261,400,000 passengers travelled on Russian Railways, 3,400,000 million more than during the same period in 2005, an increase of 1.3%.

Passenger turnover in March 2006 was 4,293,700, 000 million passenger kilometres, up by 4% or 298,100,000 passenger kilometres compared to March 2005.

In the first quarter of 2006, passenger turnover was 10.7 billion million passenger kilometres, an increase of 2.3% or 241,000,000 passenger kilometres than 1Q2005.
