Projects’ aim is to show practical results of developed by TM Forum participants concepts. It’s possible to take your monolith legacy applications and do the following: Step One: Should include inventory of existing application as a whole: business areas covered, existing data content. Step Two: Defines communication and cooperation. Step Three: Defines language and translation during communication. Step Four: Common data are defined and their synchronization is assured. Step Five: Everything is tested & applied. Initial business processing can begin. A clearer picture of situation should emerge: tested processes, reconciled and synchronized data without large investment, etc. On review, some applications may need adaptation or may be operating unchanged in future use. Certainly, should your OSS operate according to globally accepted principles, it will be because you have successfully implemented all five steps detailed here.
