1 BCM of natural gas delivered through the Blue Stream gas pipeline

Today, Turkey has received the 1st bcm of Russian gas through the Blue Stream gas pipeline, i.e. by 200 million cubic meters more than was previously contracted under the “take-or-pay” agreement for 2003.

On December 13, Gazprom, upon Turkey’s request, increased daily gas supply to Turkey through the Blue Stream gas pipeline up to 20 million cubic meters. It should be mentioned that under the agreements reached Gazexport had to deliver 5.3 million cubic meters per day.

Gazprom plans to supply 1.1 bcm of natural gas in 2003 and 4 bcm in 2004 to Turkey.
