On 11th May 2006 the best workers of all branches of OJSC North-West Telecom gathered in St. Petersburg to accept well-deserved congratulations and words of gratitude on their professional holiday, Day of Radio.

During the solemn ceremony that took place on that day Vladimir Akulich, the General Manager of OJSC North-West Telecom, handed in on behalf of the management of the industry the top awards of the telecommunications industry – Master of Communications and Honorary Radio Operator – to the best workers of the industry who represented all branches of the Company, and, according to the established tradition, diplomas and expressions of gratitude of OJSC NWT for conscientious labour and loyalty to the profession. Vladimir Akulich congratulated everybody upon the professional holiday and the Victory Day and noted that the success the company is proud of has been achieved through the efforts of each of those present in the hall. 

In the evening, there was a gala concert for workers of OJSC NWT in the State Music Hall Theatre. Their favourite actors and singers performed there: Philip Kirkorov, Oleg Gazmanov, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Tatyana Bulanova and Stas Pyekha. Representatives of the leading companies of the telecommunications industry met at the concert: North-West Telecom, Siemens, Rostelecom, Alcatel, Web Plus, Delta Telecom, Neva Kabel, PeterStar, NEC-Neva, Telecominvest and other. The joint festival of the workers of the industry was a good occasion for an informal meeting of the colleagues who provide telecommunication services and supply telecommunication workers with new equipment and new technologies.
