The trust “Surgutneftedorstroyremont” (SNDSR), a structural unit of OJSC “Surgutneftegas”, is planning to repair 600 km of motor roads, lay down 200 km of motor roads with cinder road surface, construct over 25 km of motor roads, employing state-of-the-art technologies.

SNDSR constructs motor roads leading to oilfields, employing state-of-the-art technologies. Currently in terms of motor road construction there are two primary destinations: Seliyarovskoye and Aipimskoye oil fields. The works are being performed by order of Surgutneftegas’s 6 oil and gas production units (NGDUs). To optimize the construction process, the Company has purchased 2 recycling trucks “Recycler WR-2500” manufactured by “Wirtgen”, a German producer of heavy road machinery. A group of trust’s engineers conducted indoor tests of a recycling truck and came up with a new composition of road surface: natural asphalt is now used as a substitute for much more expensive emulsion.

Oleg Efremov, the administrative manager of SNDSR, says that just one “Recycler WR-2500” delivers a 50% and 30% saving of asphalt-concrete mix and gravel chippings accordingly per one kilometer of a motor road. Though the layer of asphalt-concrete pavement has become thinner, its ruggedness and supporting capacity have dramatically increased. There has been a two-fold increase in a daily performance – 300-400 meters. This year the employment of state-of-the-art technologies of road construction will yield over RUR 35 mn.
