Alexey Kurach, Bashneft’s Vice-President for Economics and Finance and Chief Financial Officer, will leave his post on March 29, 2013. The relevant decision was approved yesterday by the Company’s Board of Directors.
‘The Board of Directors would like to express profound gratitude to Alexey Kurach for his enormous contribution to the Company’s success during the four years for which he held the position of Chief Financial Officer,’ pointed out Felix Evtushenkov, the Chairman of Bashneft’s Board of Directors. ‘We wish Alexey success and further career advancement in his new responsible position in JSFC Sistema.’
‘The Company’s management greatly regrets that Alexey is leaving, because he has made a remarkable effort to increase the efficiency of Bashneft’s operations by optimizing production and refining costs, develop the advanced investment planning and project monitoring system, structure the debt portfolio, and create an efficient system for procurement of commodities and services,’ said Alexander Korsik, the President of Bashneft. ‘On behalf of the Company’s Management Board I sincerely wish Alexey new professional achievements in his new position.’
Currently, Bashneft is considering several candidates for the position of Vice-President for Economics and Finance-Chief Financial Officer and plans to announce this appointment after all necessary corporate procedures are completed.
