Oleg Mikhaylov has been appointed Vice-President for Oil and Gas Production of Bashneft and has started performing his duties today. His appointment has been approved by Bashneft’s Board of Directors.

Oleg Mikhaylov was born on September 10, 1970. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1993. In 1998 he graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2004 Mr. Mikhaylov obtained the MBA degree at the University of California, Berkeley. In 1998–2011 he held various positions at Chevron in the exploration and production business, the international exploration and production business (U.S.), the Asia South business unit, and the Thailand business unit. In 2010–2011 Mr. Mikhaylov managed Chevron’s offshore operations (the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit). From April 2011 through June 2012 he was the Vice-President for the West Siberia Division, Upstream at TNK-BP, and starting from July 2012 Mr. Mikhaylov held the position of Vice-President for Operations and Asset Management, Upstream at TNK-BP.
