Rostelecom, Russia’s national long-distance telecommunications operator, and China Telecom (China Telecommunications Corporation), one of the leading Chinese carriers, have made the Memorandum on current and future cooperation. The Memorandum was signed by Dmitry Yerokhin, Rostelecom’s General Director, and Leng Rongquan, COO and Vice President of China Telecom.

Among other things, in the Memorandum both parties emphasize positive dynamics in cooperation development between the two companies and appreciate high level of effective partnership already achieved.

The Memorandum features prospects and further steps to enhance cooperation in service provision using existing high-speed and quality telecom connection between Russia and China. Both companies have intention to provide customers with the Europe-Asia transit (TEA) service of the best quality in terms of Round Trip Delay (RTD) and protection.
