Gazprom has elected Pyotr Sozonov as Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk.

Pyotr Sozonov was born in 1963 in the Tyumen Oblast. In 1985 he graduated from Tyumen Industrial Institute, majoring in Designing and Maintenance of Oil and Gas Pipelines, Gas Storage Facilities and Oil Tank Farms.

Pyotr Sozonov has served in Gazprom for more than 27 years.

Between 1985 and 1992 – Technological Compressor Operator, Compressor Station (CS) Dispatcher, Maintenance Engineer, Acting Head of the CS, Chief Engineer – Deputy Head of the Shatrov Line Pipe Operation Center, Uraltransgaz Association.

Between 1992 and 1998 Pyotr Sozonov was Chief Engineer – Deputy Head, Head of Shadrinsk Line Pipe Operation Center, Uraltransgaz Association.

Between 1998 and 2012 Pyotr Sozonov was Chief Engineer – Deputy Director General, Chief Engineer – First Deputy Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg (former Uraltransgaz).

Pavel Zavalny, the former head of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk, was relieved of his post due to his election as Member of the Russian Federation State Duma.
