Moscow – August 3, 2009 – Rostelecom (NYSE: ROS; RTS, MICEX: RTKM, RTKMP), Russia’s national telecommunications operator, today announced results of the Company's Board of Directors meeting that took place recently.

Resolved:

Appointment of the following individuals onto the Management Board:

- Andrey Baklykov, Director, Information Technologies Department;

- Vyacheslav Volkov, Deputy General Director, Business Development;

- Yevgeny Gerasimov, Deputy General Director, Director of Rostelecom’s North-Western Branch

- Victor Iudin, First Deputy General Director;

- Vladimir Mironov, Deputy General Director;

- Galina Rysakova, Director of Organizational Development and Human Resources Department;

- Dmitry Sigalov, Director of Legal Affairs Department;

- Vladimir Terekhov, Deputy General Director, Network Operation;

- Roman Frolov, Chief Accountant;

- Anton Khozyainov, Deputy General Director, Financial Director.

Setting the term of powers of the Management Board from 1 August 2009 through to 2 August 2010. Mr. Anton Kolpakov has been Chairman of the Management Board since his appointment as General Director of the Company.
