Volgograd, 12 July 2006. "UTK" PJSC and the Volgograd region Government have come to an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of  development of telecommunications infrastructure and information technologies in the region.

Nikolay Maksyuta, Governor of the Volgograd Region, and Alexander Andreev, General Director  of "Southern Telecommunications Company" PJSC took part in the meeting. They discussed the questions on creation of modern telecommunication infrastructure in the region required for realization of the presidential projects, regional programs as well as for solution of urgent social, economic and other important tasks in the region. 

In addition, the parties agreed to take joint efforts in the future on formation of information area in order to provide for efficient work of electronic mass media, public access to information resources and to the Internet network.

During the meeting General Director of "UTK" PJSC Alexander Andreev stated that this event was just another step in fulfillment of the Company’s priority tasks aimed at development of telecommunications infrastructure in the Southern federal district. "I believe that the support of the Governor Nikolay Maksyuta  will help us to realize all planned tasks aimed at development of both traditional and new telecommunication services in the Volgograd Region», - he said.
