Rosseti participated in the regional round of All-Russia Startup Tour Road Show hosted by Skolkovo in Togliatti

Specialists of Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) participated in the All-Russia Startup Tour road show that took part on April 18-19 in Togliatti at Zhigulevskaya Dolina Technological Cluster. The event was hosted by the Skolkovo Foundation, together with the leading companies of the Russian Federation, including Rosseti, PJSC and IDGC of Volga, PJSC, its affiliated company.

The Startup Tour in Togliatti will be attended by Pekka Viljakainen, the Advisor to the President of Skolkovo, Renat Batyrov, General Director of the Skolkovo Foundation Nuclear Technology Cluster, Aleksandr Fertman, Director for Science Skolkovo Foundation Nuclear Technology Cluster, Anton Pushkov, Managing Partner of the Skolkovo Foundation Intellectual Property Center, and Oleg Barannik, Director for Marketing, StartBase.

 Aleksandr Emeliyanov, Chief Engineer of Zhigulevskoye PD, Samara GD, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, took the floor with the representation “Demand for Innovative Solutions for Power Grid System”. He provided detailed information about import phase-out measures implemented by IDGC of Volga, PJSC, projects aimed at development of new equipment for the electrical grid system, and demand for innovative solutions. Aleksandr Emeliyanov made a special focus on the Energoproryv-2016 Contest held with the objective to consolidate efforts and expertise of specialists in different domains of science and engineering to shape the power industry of the future. This All-Russia Contest in the area of technology-intensive projects and solutions has been hosted by Rosseti, PJSC, together with the Skolkovo Foundation for a number of years. This year, the jury will select the winners in two categories: “Leap Ahead Technologies” and “Improving Technologies”. Each winning participant of the Energoproryv contest will receive mentoring and coaching support, including assignment of experts representing affiliated companies of Rosseti, PJSC, to provide assistance in implementing innovative projects and putting them into trial operation, with subsequent putting into commercial operation across the entire electrical grid system. As a “point of entry”, the Energoproryv-2016 Contest is a unique opportunity for young businessmen, provided by Rosseti, PJSC together with the Skolkovo Foundation.

The contest program activities took place during the second day of the Startup Tour road show. The winners were selected in 5 categories — biological and medical technologies, biotechnologies in agriculture and industry, industrial technologies and materials, power engineering and energy-efficient technologies, and information technologies. The contestants presented to the jury (composed of specialists of IDGC of Volga, PJSC — Aleksandr Emeliyanov and Andrey Tikholaz (Sector Head of the Service for Technological Development, Innovations, Energy Savings and Energy Efficiency Improvement of Samara DG, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC)) their innovative solutions in the category “Power Industry and Energy Efficient Technologies”. In addition to prizes and valuable experience, the winner teams get the right to take part in the Startup Village Contest — without getting shortlisted.

The Energoproryv is a contest aimed at uniting the efforts and expertise of representatives of different fields of science and technology in order to shape the future of the Russian power sector. First held in 2013, this contest takes place annually. In 2015, over 170 projects were presented to the jury within the framework of the Energoproryv Contest. Grant applicants are students, post-graduate students, scientists, and specialists in different domains.
