Work on the overhead transmission line of the voltage of 35 KV was performed according to the schedule of the restoration campaign of the enterprise. In order to ensure no-failure electric power supply of consumers in the period of the peak winter demand, defective wire sectors were replaced, 9 new reinforced concrete power transmission poles were mounted, straightening of 17 and strengthening of 9 power transmission poles were performed. “A busy schedule in summer is a guarantee of safety and comfort of thousands of everyday consumers, agricultural farms, military units located in the remotest areas of Orenburg region,” Mr. Vladimir Kirpichnikov, Chief Engineer of “Eastern Power Grids” believes. “In winter our specialists often manage to reach the transmission line covering Yasenenskiy, Svetlinsky and Adamovsky districts only on snowmobiles. That is the reason for our efforts to complete all the work with high-quality and duly in summer”. The power grids of the central part of Orenburg region is being prepared for the winter period. The staff of the Central Power Grids of “Orenburgenergo”, the branch of “IDGC of Volga”, JSC, have started the major repairs of the electric equipment in the village of Zerkalo, Sharlyksky district. In September power engineering specialists will completely replace 1,5 kilometres of the bare wire by a self-bearing insulated wire, mount 46 reinforced concrete power transmission poles. New techniques and materials will be applied during the repairs. Thus, a self-bearing insulated wire will enable to increase the capacity of the transmission line and improve the quality of the electric power. Power engineering specialists will mount two new transformer substations replacing the worked out ones. Modern electric power units are intended for transmission and distribution of electric power of higher capacity, they have better specifications. The fulfilled repairs will increase reliability of the electric power supply of agricultural producers, schools, residential apartments, as well as meet the growing needs of the village in electric power.
