Russian oil company LUKOIL and the administration of Vologda region today signed an agreement on cooperation in oil and gas production, refining, transport and sales of oil, gas and products in Russia and abroad.

LUKOIL undertook to meet the region's demand for products and build new filling stations in Vologda and Cherepovets and modernize two existing ones.

The region will provide LUKOIL with land for tank farms, filling stations and other facilities. It will also supply LUKOIL with goods made in the region.

LUKOIL has already signed similar agreements with the administrations of St Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Astrakhan, Perm and Chelyabinsk regions, Chukot autonomous district.
