In Samara, within the expansion of the Moscow Highway, the reconstruction of 110 kV Semeykino-2 power transmission line of Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), has been completed. The planned work on the preparation of engineering infrastructure in the framework of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in the section from Kirov avenue to the gas station No. 115.
110kV Semeykino-2 power transmission line was built in the 1950s of the last century. It went along one of the main transport arteries of the city — the Moscow Highway.
Within the preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the reconstruction of the Moscow Highway, a large-scale project is underway to convert the 110 kV power transmission line sections falling into the road extension zone into a cable version. The first power transmission line, the reconstruction of which was completed, was Semeykino-2 110 kV overhead line. Within the frame of the works carried out, 2 transition points were constructed, 4 new metal supports installed, a cable line with the length of 2.13 km was laid, a FOCL was assembled. Upon completion of all the tests, the cable line was put under the workload. All the equipment and materials used in the line reconstruction are of domestic production, which conforms to the program of import substitution of IDGC of Volga, PJSC and the Samara Region Government. The operation of this power transmission line at the workload enables to start dismantling of existing supports that fall into the Moscow Highway expansion zone. Totally, as part of the expansion of the Moscow Highway, 9 transmission lines will be reconstructed with their conversion into the cable version. All works are carried out by contract organizations of the Ministry of Transport and Highways. The admission for work in the security zone of overhead lines and control over the reconstruction of power facilities is carried out by the employees of Samara Distribution Grids.
