London hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Gazprom’s Management Committee Chairman and Peter Weinberg, Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Goldman Sachs International Investment Bank.
The meeting addressed the outlook of joint activities in the investment and banking sector. Peter Weinberg underscored that Gazprom counted on substantial potential of its capitalization growth due to the upcoming corporate share market liberalization. Goldman Sachs is ready to get involved in said process as a co-investment adviser. Special emphasis was also laid on the North-European Gas Pipeline Project. The parties agreed that Goldman Sachs would soon provide Gazprom with its proposals on the Projects.
