Aeroflot has summed up its operating results for September and nine months of 2004

Aeroflot-Russian Airlines operating results for September and nine months of 2004 have been summed up.

In September 2004 the airline company carried 663 200 passengers (including 6 500 passengers of charter flights) and 13 900 tons of post and freight. There were made 1.963 billion passenger-kilometers and 255.7mln ton-kilometers.

Operating volumes have increased according to all indicators vs. the prior year and amounted to: according to passenger-kilometers – 108.0 per cent (+144.7 million pkm), according to ton-kilometers – 115.9 per cent (+35.1 million tkm), according to carriage of passengers – 113.6 per cent (+79 200 passengers), according to freight carriage – 133.3 per cent (+3405.8 tons).

Percentage of enplaned traffic amounted to 58.1 per cent in September. Passenger seats’ occupation rate was 69.8 per cent.

For nine months of 2004 Aeroflot carried 5.250 million passengers and 103 300 tons of post and freight; there were made 15.957 billion passenger-kilometers and 2.034 billion ton-kilometers.

Passenger seats’ occupation rate amounted to 69.9 per cent; and it exceeded the prior year level by 0.9 per cent. Percentage of enplaned traffic amounted to 58.0 per cent; it exceeded the prior year level by 1.8 per cent.

In comparison with the last year operating volumes have increased according to all indicators and amounted to: according to passenger-kilometers – 116.4 per cent (+2251.4 million pkm), according to carriage of passengers – 117.7 per cent (+790 600 passengers), according to ton-kilometers – 122.8 per cent (+377.1 million tkm), according to freight carriage – 130.9 per cent (+23 766.3 tons).

They have flown on all airline types on the whole by 19.3 per cent more than last year.

The average daily fly of hours per an average properly functioning plane amounted to 10.1 hours; this exceeds the prior year level by 0.1 hour.
