At the V All-Russian Conference "Development and reliability improvement of distribution power grids", dedicated to the exchange of experiences between the technical heads of power grid companies, the report was made by Oleg Pavlov, Chief engineer of ROSSETI Volga company (brand of IDGC of Volga). The event was held in Moscow and was organized by ROSSETI PJSC.
In the framework of the conference the Top manager has shared his experience in the organization of temporary power supply of consumers in 6-10 kV power grids with the use of standby power supply sources (SPSS) and portable step-up transformer (PST) when conducting emergency repair operations (ERO), planned maintenance and technical re-equipment and reconstruction works at 6-10 kV distribution power grids.
For example, the various connection circuits of SPSS and PST together with SPSS to sites of the power distribution grid Oleg Pavlov told about the design features and uses of equipment for preservation of power supply of consumers, in particular, having technological connection to the 6(10) kV buses of one-transformer substations of 35 kV and above in case of failure of 100% transfer of power supply of consumers for standby circuit in conducting ERO, planned maintenance and technical re-equipment and reconstruction works.
Oleg Pavlov presented information about the research work (R&D) carried out in ROSSETI Volga, within the framework of which research and development of the main technical solutions for the arrangement of standard PST designed for joint work with SPSS, taking into account the provision of electrical safety, reliability and compatibility of elements of the main and auxiliary equipment.
Set of technical solutions for the joint use of SPSS and PST will reduce the number of SPSS, the time to restore electric power supply to consumers, minimize financial and human resources. In addition, such devices will be used in the performance of work on melting ice on overhead power lines in the autumn and winter.
