Primorsk Shipping Corporation is increasing the volume of transportation.

PRISCO vessels have transported 8,089.000 tons of cargo for the period of nine months, that is 12,4% higher than that of the same period of the year 2002. Mrs. N.A. Ermakova, the Head of the Analysis and Planning Division of the Economic Department, informed that there were delivered 367.1 thousand tons of domestic cargoes, that is on the same level with the analogues period of the year 2002; 1,691.000 tons of export-import cargoes that is 229 thousand tons less than for nine months of the year 2002. The main fleet facilities of the Corporation are busy with transporting the cargoes between foreign ports that is reflected on the results of the activity on this direction of transportation: the volume of such cargoes amounts to 6,031.000 tons against 4,914.000 tons for the year 2002. PRISCO keeps active participation in Sakhalin oil transportation. For nine months of the current year the vessels of the Corporation have delivered 904.700 tons of island oil. Volumes of transportation decreased by 229.5 thousand tons comparing to the analogues period of the previous year but it did not affect the company's income. 535.5 thousand tons were transported from De-Kastri, 369.2 thousand tons were transported from oil-producing terminal “Vityaz”. The part of Sakhalin oil in the full volume of cargoes transported by the Corporation for the period of nine months is 11,2%. For the first time during many years the volume of transportation of oil products to the Russian Arctic has increased. For a period of nine months of the current year PRISCO tankers have delivered 13,9 thousand tons of fuel oil to the hard-to–reach areas outside the Northern Polar circle against 2.6 thousand tons of the year 2002.
