Specialists of Penzaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) started a planned reconstruction of Sursk 110/35/10 kV substation as provided by the Investment Program of the company. Sursk 110/35/10 kV substation was put into operation in 1965. Transformers installed at the substation are equipped with outdated oil circuit breakers need to be replaced, as well as old equipment of 110 kV open switchgear. At the moment, in-house and contracted specialists have already installed the foundation for 10 kV metal-clad switchgear and for pillars of 110 êÂopen switchgear cells, installed two 110/35/10 kV transformers. external oil drains and substation grounding equipment. The objective of this reconstruction is to improve reliability of power supply for Gorodishchensky district and power transit via 110 kV Kluchiki-Kuznetsk-Sursk-CHP-1-Penza-1 overhead power transmission line. In addition, it will provide more possibilities for connecting new residential and industrial consumers to electrical networks.
