Moscow. 18 November 2005. RAO UESR entities have completed the readiness check for the autumn/winter period of 2005-2006.
The check was conducted in accordance with the Regulation on Assessment of Preparedness of Electricity and Heating Suppliers for Work During the Autumn/Winter Period as approved by the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation.
Pursuant to the Order of Chairman of the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia" Anatoly Chubais, the inspection was to be carried at 992 energy enterprises, including OAO "UES SO-CDA" and OAO "UES FGC".
The inspection demonstrated that the targets set for equipment repairs at power plants, electricity and heating networks, and the targets for stockpiling fuel were met.
All RAO UESR entities received their certificates of readiness for work during the autumn/winter period, except for OAO "Kubanenergo", which failed to meet the deadlines set by the Regulation on Assessment of Preparedness of Electricity and Heating Suppliers for Work During the Autumn/Winter Period. Work is underway at OAO "Kubanenergo" to complete the planned activities. When those are over, the energy company will undergo another inspection.
The check of the energy companies' winter readiness for 2005-2006 was conducted by ad-hoc committees which included inspectors from regional energy control departments, representatives of the Technical Audit Department and General Inspectorate of RAO "UES of Russia", officials and specialists of the energy enterprises undergoing inspection, a representatives of Business Units of RAO "UES of Russia", OAO "UES SO-CDA", OAO "UES FGC" and their branches, the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological, and Nuclear Control, and the Russian Ministry of Emergencies.
