In January 2003, oil production reached 4.419 mln. tons against 3.946 mln. tons in the same period of 2002 (a 12% increase).

Gas production amounted to 1.21 bcm. compared to 1.06 bcm. produced in January 2003 (a 14% increase).

Drilling totaled 245,381 meters of rock, which is 110% of total drilling in the same period of 2002.

Exploratory drilling amounted to 20,456 meters against 20,112 meters in January 2002.

The Company put onstream 71 new wells (compared to 65 wells in the same period of 2002).
