Moscow, January 18, 2006. OJSC «CenterTelecom» held Internet-conference "Development of new services by the Moscow branch of OJSC “CenterTelecom” in 2005 and plans for 2006", during which the questions of the Company’s website visitors were answered by Deputy Director – Commercial Director of the Moscow branch of OJSC «CenterTelecom» Nikita Brodsky.

During the Internet-conference questions about the development of cable television in the Moscow region, different aspects of Internet access organization via dedicated channels and dial-up, development and modernization of the communication networks on the territory of the Moscow region etc. were raised. 

Particularly, Nikita Brodsky said that in 2005 the Moscow branch of the Company continued commercial service of its own multiservice network for Internet connection of corporate clients as well as natural persons. As to him, at the moment the branch is conducting works on installation of the additional equipment which provides high-speed Internet access using ADSL technology. The number of this service users in the Moscow region during the last year increased by 2.5 times. At the moment the Moscow branch of OJSC «CenterTelecom» serves several thousand ADSL-users, and  the capacity of the installed ports is 50 thousand. Nikita Brodsky noted that speed and quality of this kind of Internet access had been improved since January 2006 and unlimited tariff could be offered in spring.

As to the Commercial Director of the branch, at the current moment there are different schemes for Internet access payment offered on the territory of the Moscow region: pre-paid Internet-cards and on credit. Nikita Brodsky noted that the growth of the cards sales starting with the beginning of 2005 had increased by 2 times and reached 40 thousand monthly. In the near future the branch plans to organize the payment of the service not only by means of cards but via other payment systems.
