Gazprom’s Head Office has hosted today a working meeting of Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee, Alexander Ageyev, Energy Minister of the Republic of Belarus and Dmitry Kazakov, Director General of Beltransgaz.
The parties discussed matters on interaction between the companies, placing a special focus on the terms of cooperation in the following year. In order to timely achieve an accord on gas prices for Belarus over 2007, the parties began discussions of that issue on Gazprom’s initiative.
In the course of the talks Alexey Miller stated that over 2007 Belarus should pay European rates for Russian gas deliveries. The Belarusian side will submit its proposals on the terms of cooperation within 2007 until April 30.

Gazprom and Beltransgaz sealed a Gas Delivery and Transit Contract for 2006 on December 27, 2005. Under the Contract, Gazprom will provide Belarus with 21 bcm of gas, of which 1.5 bcm will be supplied provided there is capacity available.
The gas price and transmission tariff are in line with the arrangements for 2005.
